Wondering if you game idea is unique? And if it is feasible to produce? And how to maximize commercial appeal? I can help you with the answers to these questions by playing and analyzing your game to give you detailed recommendations for improvement.
How does it work?
Before I can analyze your game, your submission must meet certain conditions. Please read them carefully below. If your game idea meets these conditions, you can submit your request via the contact form. In any case, please include:
- A short description of your game.
- What makes your game different from other games
- What kind of game it is, for example, trivia, party, strategic, bluffing, etc.
- For whom you think the game is intended.
- The minimum age of the players, for example from 8 years.
- The average playing time of your game. This may also be a range, for example 30-45 minutes.
- The minimum and maximum number of players needed to play your game
After an initial assessment, I will contact you to indicate whether you can submit the game idea. To ensure that you are serious (and of course also to use my time wisely), there are costs involved. I will explain this later.
The conditions
There are a number of conditions that your game idea must meet in order to be properly assessed:
- You should have tested your game yourself often, so that the teething problems are ironed out and you know what others think of it. Don’t limit yourself to friends or family, but also test it with outsiders so that you get genuine feedback.
- You must have a playable prototype. Don’t worry about the appearance, as long as it functions. The theme and making it beautiful will come later.
- Your game must fall into the category of family games, party games or children’s games. Whether it is strategic, cooperative, educational or a dice game, it doesn’t matter. But once the rules are clear, it should be playable within an hour.
- You have written rules for the game in English or Dutch and a few photos of the starting line-up and game moments. Even better…a video explaining the game.
What does it cost?
Playing, analyzing and providing feedback takes time, which is why I charge for this. The costs are €85 per game. For this you will receive a brief report in which I give my assessment of the uniqueness of your game idea, the gameplay, the balance and the rules of the game. I will highlight both the positive points and recommendations for further development. If you want your prototype back, there will be additional shipping costs, depending the country (€15 within the Netherlands).
